Monday morning we hit the road making our way to Kansas, more specifically Baxter Springs. Our stop, Route 66 Visitor's center. The gentleman working was a retired local. He was super nice and "old school" which is a pleasure to encounter these days. He verbally, while occasionally pointing to a mediocre map, gave me instructions turn by turn including stores, landmarks and other all the way to Oklahoma City within two minutes me. Needless to say, I remembered little. Before leaving he noticed my Shooting Supply shirt and began tell GM the boys about Cowboy Action Shooting.
We got 15-20 miles of kicks on Route 66 before bolting for towards Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
